Java Software Developer

The Challenge
This position is based in our Lehi, Utah offices within the Digital Marketing Business Unit of Adobe. We’re looking for a back-end developer with at least 5 years academic or industry programming experience. Adobe’s Rule-Based Classification system is one of the most used features of Adobe Analytics and is both challenging and rewarding to work on. Your development work will provide our customers with world class experiences as they manage their classification rules within our software.

What you’ll do

• Produce well written and well documented code, while validating all technical aspects fulfill functional and technical requirements
• Participate in team’s Kanban process by attending various meetings such as backlog grooming, standups, retrospectives, demos, code reviews, etc…
• Review and provide feedback on features, technologies, designs, architectures, validation strategies, and overall estimates and timelines
• Proactively propose solutions for a variety of complex problems – both within code and without
• Create coded solutions within CI/CD framework, and write associated unit tests
• Work with key stakeholders such as PM, SRE, PgM, Doc, and other team players on a variety of projects simultaneously
• Follow dev-ops practices via effective communication with Site Reliability Engineers

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• Proficiency in Java is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with the DevOps model, comfortable with server administration
• Ability to architect and design scalable systems dealing with big data
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills – must be detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Very familiar with software development life cycle and agile process
• Working knowledge of GIT, message queue technologies, unix/linux commands
• Working knowledge of database administration (MySQL/MongoDB)
