Data Scientist

Modis is looking for a Data Scientist for  a role in the Metro Detroit area. This will be working in a fast paced global enterprise environment, and will require the Data Scientist to be onsite.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Write complex queries, conduct data cleansing, ensure data quality, and data enrichment.
• Create data models, transform data, create statistical models.
• Data manipulation and data mining / pattern recognition of large structured and unstructured data sets
• Interpret results and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences, cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with consistency and accuracy.

TECHNICAL SKILLS DESIRED 

• 2 years of working experience in data-centric projects with at least one year experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
• Solid experience working with Python, SQL, and/or R
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, statistics, economics, data science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Familiarity and experience with cloud computing, especially with Azure cloud platform    and tech stack, Snowflake data warehouse, etc.
