Automation Engineer

An Automation Engineer job in Louisville, Kentucky is available through Modis. This is a long-term W2 contact position that is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with flexible start time. Candidates for this position must currently reside in the Louisville, Kentucky or surrounding area.

Service QA Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Performs software and product quality verification and validation while managing test plan development and test execution.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and participate in process improvement activities in a LEAN development environment.
• Execute software qualification efforts for product controls.
• Develop and maintain software test plans, as well as perform manual and automated testing.
• Execute, maintain, and update LabVIEW VIs and TestStand test scripts.
• Record and track to resolution software defects, as well as maintain and monitor software quality metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience working with LabView software and experience with embedded software.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing.
• Ability to read, understand, and create technical documents (specs, regulations, processes, and test plans).
• Good understanding of firmware / software development processes.
• Good analytical skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
